Dan Magic | Imuka
Dan Magic is the young, talented Recording Engineer who records and produces music at Imuka Studios. He travels from Uganda to work with Imuka Studios every few months when clients are scheduled. I think he has become a celebrity of sorts among Bukoba’s young people ;). In Uganda, Dan works for Dream Studios, which is one of East Africa’s most successful recording studios. His credits include Keko, Bobi Wine, Juliana, Eddie Yawe, Afrigo Band, Dr. Hilderman, Fidempa, and Henry Tigan (all well-known artists) among others. Dan’s experience & talent have made him successful with a wide variety of East African music genres, which is why at Imuka he easily records a rap-artist in the morning, and seamlessly transitions to the church choir in the afternoon. When Dan comes to Bukoba to record artists at Imuka Studios, he doesn’t just record & produce, but he also mentors artists and provides education about the professional world of music production. Indeed, this is a valuable an unique opportunity for the local talent in Kagera Region!
