Christmas Comes Early to the Park Ln. Apartment
My dearest roommate, Julie, and I have never been skimpy when it comes to holidays. I have Julie to thank for most of the outer-trimmings that come along with holidays such as decorating, baking, buying appropriate coffee creamer and etc. If it was not for her, I would be missing out BIG TIME on fully expressing my love and joy for the holidays. Left to myself, my holiday expressions would stay mostly internal, and that is just sad!In part, this is because I like to clean & keep things under control, so taking out boxes of décor and making a mess stresses me out. Taking out boxes of décor and making a mess are also the necessary steps you have to take to make your home look like a winter wonderland, or festive fall, or whatever. So because I have an amazing friend and roommate that defends the holiday spirit down to the coffee creamer, my joy during this holiday season is fully complete! (You should hear us sing Christmas carols in the mornings, and dance like the Rockettes in the evenings!)
This year, we put up our Halloween décor in September anticipating our bittersweet moving date Mid-December. That way, we were sure to have our trees up by October 27th to have a full 6 weeks of Christmas joy and cheer as we remind ourselves of the amazing gift of Christ Jesus.
