A "Minnesota Nice" Detour
Smart and his family arrived safely back in Minnesota on Saturday! Since Saturday, Smart has been at a local hospital under doctors' supervision. Smart and Jessica said Smart's condition has improved, but it sounds like there is a bit of recovery/ treatment ahead. I am grateful they are back.Through all of these unexpected and difficult situations, I am reminded of God's goodness and sovereignty. Earlier this month, the delay of my original flight gave us a few extra days to evaluate the situation before deciding whether or not I should leave for Tanzania, considering Smart's illness. As you know, we decided I would stay in Minnesota for the time being.
I never considered moving back to Minnesota while I lived in Texas. However, now that I am back in Minnesota, I am SO happy to be here (for however long that ends up being)! It is such a blessing to spend quality time with my parents, family and friends in the area (and not over a quick vacation). I look forward to all that God has in store on this unexpected detour. I've had four interviews, and I just received a job offer at a mental health treatment facility. Yay!
I just hope to see green grass and feel warm sunshine in due time. Minnesota's winter weather can be nice, but only for so long!
Wow what a cool experience to have a job in your field of study to help cushion the transition :) Praise the Lord He knows all things, and He is guiding you for sure.
ReplyDeletePraying for Smarts continued health and for you as well as your family :)
