Exciting News from the Goat Farm!
Exciting news from the COSAD Women’s Cooperative Goat Farm in Kagondo: This month, COSAD contracted with a new veterinarian to oversee goat farm matters, and so far he has completely exceeded our expectations. The goats are happier and healthier than ever!
Possibly overshadowing the news of our new veterinarian is the anticipation brewing in Kitwe Village… Last week, COSAD contractors started building and delivering supplies for our OWOG program to expand into Kitwe Village! Ten women will receive ten goats later this week!! The women and many men from the neighboorhood have been busy helping with the construction of the goat pennies and the water retention system (WRS).
Many thanks goes to a special donor from the USA who made this expansion possible!
